Mustang Sally is a classic R&B song recorded by Wilson Pickett. Written by Mack Rice, it was released on the Blue Rock label in May 1965 before being covered by Wilson Pickett in 1966. It was also recorded and released by John Lee Hooker in 1966.
In the 1990s the song came into popularity when it was featured in the Irish movie The Commitments.
