Four Easy Pop Piano Songs

Pop piano is not only a lot of fun to play, but it's actually not that HARD to play.  In this post, I share tutorials on how to play Four Easy Pop Piano Songs so you can sing and play.  All four songs are crowd pleasers too - let's get started!

4 easy pop piano songs

Dreams by Fleetwood Mac - Piano Tutorial

Dreams is one of those easy pop piano songs that is such a crowd pleaser and is super easy - only three chords!  This song uses the Pop Rock Uptempo accompaniment strategy, which I clearly break down in the video below.

Hey Jude Piano Tutorial

Hey Jude is one of the most requested easy pop piano songs by the Beatles and is really fun and easy to play on the piano.  Firstly, there are only a handful of chords.  Secondly it uses the often-played pop rock ballad groove.  Finally, it has an out chorus of "NANANAs" that are super easy to jam out to in a singalong.

Free Fallin' Tom Petty Piano Tutorial

Free Fallin' is a classic "car song" - one that you crank up and sing at the top of your lungs while you're in the car.  It's definitely an easy pop piano song! The great thing about this song is that there is a simple accompaniment strategy for the entire song.  It's called The Charleston Rhythm and it shows up all over the place from jazz to rock!

What's Up 4 Non Blondes Piano Tutorial

If you're a 90s baby like me, then you know this song well!  What's Up? was a huge radio hit for the band Four Non Blondes and it's a huge crowd pleaser now.  The good news?  There are only 4 chords!  Better news?  It uses the Funky Piano accompaniment strategy that also works for a ton of other songs.
