Blue Suede Shoes is a Rock and Roll/Rockabilly hit written and recorded in 1955 by Carl Perkins. The song combines elements of blues, pop and country music. In 1956 Elvis Presley recorded a cover of it on his debut album and it become an enormous hit. (It was also recorded by Eddie Cochran and Buddy Holly!)
The song follows a standard blues form, with a blues-walking bass and some syncopated comping rhythms. There is also a fun solo, which I will give you some options to play.
