Random Songs I Like #3 – Walking in Memphis cover

Walking in Memphis is a classic song by pianist and songwriter Marc Cohn.  Released in 1991, this song got him into the top 40!

Walking in Memphis has been covered by a ton of artists, including Cher.

Back in the early 2000s, I was a top-ranked cruise ship piano bar entertainer.  I was the youngest performer ever booked by Royal Caribbean (age 23!!) and I worked night after night taking requests and singing and playing my heart out while traveling around the Caribbean islands.  This song was always one of my favorites to play and is SUCH an amazing song!

This is the third installation of my year long weekly posting of songs as part of my #RandomSongsILike series.
